Our fundraiser was a success! We had hundreds of roses in our hands and before we knew it, people started flocking to our stand to order them! Love was definitely in the air!

To all those that took the courage to get a rose for someone, give yourselves a pat on the back. You deserve it! You definitely took the slogan we made by heart :)

New Interact Club's Mural :)

The mural is finally 90% done! Why 90% ? Because every interactor gets to be a part of it! We owe it to you guys for keeping the club alive and really just being the best club there is right? Yes. No arguments. Fact.

Here are some pictures of our Publicity Director doing some alchemy (really, he was just getting the turpentine and paints ready LOL)

And of course, the mural itself!

So pass the word around to your interact buddies that YOUR HAND will be PART OF THE MURAL! That's right, YOU mean as much as the mural as YOU mean to the club! (Which is a lot for those of you who couldn't catch on LOL)

EDIT:

I guess some of you have wondered what this mural means. There is a meaning behind it all actually. We didn't just want to draw a tree and a little girl out of the blue! It had to have meaning when we would make it an important part of our history :) So here goes!

The overall look of the mural shows that simplicity sometimes brings out the best of things and we should only do what is needed and not always what is wanted.

The tree shows that despite our different races, religions, and other such traits, we are all family and are bonded together by the club and through the club.

The little girl shows that no matter how small you are in the world, you can still achieve great things that you thought weren't possible for someone like you. Hence why she manages to reach up and touch one of the branches of the tree and also shows that anyone can be part of the Interact family. The black color overlay of the little shows that she could be anyone in the world and you don't need to be someone of high ranking to be one of the greats.

(Soon to come) the handprints show that again, we are all family and together we make the club what it is today and that we should be proud to be a part of it.

So there you have it! The meaning behind the mural :)

Gotong-royong 2012!

Hey Interactors (and other people) !!!

So we had our gotong-royong yesterday (Sunday, 5th Feb) and it went better than expected! Everyone was having fun (mainly during the break when were all playing around and bonding LOL) and were well-disciplined. Yeah we all worked together and followed orders just like good samaritans :)

On another note, the Dewan Terbuka was cleaned rather fast and that's quite an achievement considering the size of the place! Kudos to those who helped out!

The Chinese New Year Fundraiser for 2012!

One of the best fundraiser we have ever done! thanks to all our amazing SMKTTDI students who bought our finest, sweetest homemade cookies and brownies. 2 days of sweetness have been successfully sold to all customers, and I say, it was very tiring, but we all had a BLAST! :)
Again, thank you all for the support you gave to the Interact Club!

The Annual Grand Meeting for the Interact club of 2012 went great! We saw lots of smiles and laughs from our fellow Interactors :)

A montage showcasing some of our past events were shown to all the other Interactors so they too could see the fun we had during those events. The BOD of 2011/12 were formally introduced to the interactors there as we also had a few minutes to mingle around and get to know each other. After, everyone was briefed on our future events for this year and how they too can be part of the new BOD for 2012/13!

Highlight of the day? Probably when everyone danced while Luen tried singing the chicken dance song!

Canteen Day is closing in!

Get your butts off the seats and head on over to SMKTTDI on the 12th of November for our annual Canteen Day! There's going to be lots of fun, friends, and last but not least exciting stalls that sell anything from food and drinks to reusable pastimes!

But make sure you look out for our Interact Stall! We've got a chocolate fountain, so you wouldn't want to miss out on that. Don't forget to try our special Laddu that was prepared by Carlos and his family. But those aren't the only things we're doing...

POLAROIDS! Ever wanted to capture that moment with a group of friends in a scene? Well, of course you do and you have your own cameras for that but no, THESE ARE POLAROIDS! AND POLAROIDS ARE AWESOME! You'll rarely get a chance to have a polaroid photo of your own so why not come to us and ask for a photo? We'd be glad to be of service! Our motto is 'Service Above Self' anyway, right? Haha!

To sum it all up for you, we've got delicious food (and a chocolate fountain!) and we're also taking special polaroid photos for Canteen Day. We know you want them ;)

We set up a photobooth and a stall for selling roses during the Graduation Day that was held on the 2nd of November :)

We hope that the photos and roses left the form 5s with something to remember the day by when they feel a little bit nostalgic in the future! Had fun taking photos and running around sending the roses to the kind people who came. It was nice to see smiles on the faces of our seniors :)

International Understanding Day 2011!

HELLO PEEPS!

This year's theme would be ''GREEK GRAVITY'' inspired by the Ancient City of Greece!

The very ancient Greeks were a civilisation that lived nearly 2000 thousand years ago!!! The ancient Greeks lived mostly on the shores of the Mediterranean sea but their territories extended into Asia minor and the black sea. The greeks gave us a million and one things than we now take for granted from simple math and politics to play...s and poetry. But one of the most interesting aspects of the ancient greeks are their beliefs and myths.

That is why we have chosen Greek Mythology as the theme for our International Understanding Day this year!

The greeks loved stories and myths, they strongly believed in the the existence of Gods such as Zeus, the Leader of the Gods and his brothers, Hades and Poseidon. There were 11 other Gods as well all living in their kingdom atop Mount Olympus. Greek mythology is also full of weird yet wonderful and unique species! Some other worldly and others down right scary.

SO, we INVITE YOU to our own little mount Olympus where we would love to take you back to when Hercules was still saving the world and at any moment you could get fried by Zeus' lightning bolt! There will be no shortage of entertainment so make sure your there! :D

AND thinking why school? Considering the weather may be hot. Not to worry, this has not been our first and we have fully prepared tents and mist fans. Not to forget that we have done our IU days in school TWICE and both was a major successfull event! :D So be sure not to miss this one!! :D

Yes! It's here once again! Another round of a futsal competition as last year's was a great one! So let's make this one greater!

Time : 8am-1pm, Registration starts at 7.30 am (Please be punctual)

Venue : SMKTTDI, closed hall. Fee : RM10 (Interactors of SMKTTDI) / RM12 (Interactors of other schools)

Nothing but bonding session of the Interact Club of SMKTTDI! Thanks to everyoneee! who came, we know some of you sacrificed your tuition time and probably have difficulty coming on a Friday but yes! You guys came! Viva La Interact!

Now that's said, bonding session was quite a last minute planning but with all that rush hour! We did it! We had great games plus dancing! and don't forget the good intermission we had excluding the kuey teow :P haha, we had no plates :P ANYWAYS. credits to all interactors who sponsored food :))

Due to the Form 3's and Form 5's exams which happens to fall on the 14th of February. Yes, Valentine's Day. The Interact Club of SMKTTDI had a Valentine's Day Fundraiser on the 11th February! We sure did not want to miss this special day :))

This fundraiser was planned by Lim Jian Min, our very own Funding Director and was under the care of Carlos Dourado, our assistant community service director. Blog flyer was done by yours truly, school flyers and the poster board was done by Tania Zainuddin. Good job :))

Well done to all interactors who helped out to make this fundaiser a success! and to all 'em kind hearted people who bought roses to your friends and teachers, hope you guys had a wonderful valentine :))

Our school had a 'gotong-royong' iniated to bring all students to work together cleaning up the school ground. Aim to build relationship between school mates and teachers, this day was organized by our co-curriculum teacher, Puan Nurhana. Not to forget that of course we, the Interact Club did not just sit back home. Sacrificed our Saturday morning for a good cause :)

The Interact Club of SMKTTDI had a small fundraiser during our school's recess on the 21st of January 2011. Fundraiser organized by our funding director, Jian Min assisted by the rest of us, interactors. First of all, thank you to everyone who bought our homemade spaghetti cooked by Aznieda Zainuddin. Hope all of you had a good recess because we sure did! Something different for recess huh? :D Also, thank you to all interactors who helped out for the fundraiser.

Bonding Session 2011 Information Notice

What is bonding session?

Basically, bonding session is an activity when all the interactors break the ice and get to know each other better. Yes, some of us just stick to our group of friends in the club. But! we are interactors, before we open up to the world, we first must start from club. Knowing and opening up to our other fellow interactors will help to build a much more united club and much better, a family of interactors :))

So this year!

Instead of having it at school, our club service director, Kodie planned it to be an outdoor activity! :)

Details are as such;

Date: 26th February 2011

Time: 7.30am-5.00pm

Venue: FRIM

Price: RM15 (Including transportation and food)

Dress code:

1) Strictly Interact t-shirt/ school sport t-shirt / baju lawatan

Wear your Interact t-shirt and do bring extra clothes from either one of the above.

2) Track suit/ sport long pants

STRICTLY no shorts & jeans

3) Sport shoes (No slippers please)

4) Do bring a small and convenient to carry backpack. (no handbags)

IMPORTANT: Do not bring any other electronical devices such as Ipod, mp3, psp or any other type of devices EXCEPT handphones. You can bring your handphone. Do not bring too much cash with you. Note that we are fully not responsible for any lost items for you have been told.

Wednesday, 12th January 2011. The Interact Club of SMKTTDI had our first meeting of the year consisting of the board of directors of 2010/2011, existing interactors and future interactors of year 2011! For this year, we have another interact teacher, Pn. Michelle.

We followed through the meeting agenda and it was a good response. To all interactors, hope you guys are looking forward to the events and activites that will be held this year! It will be an awesome one! But we need teamwork and strive :)

Just recently, the interact club of smkttdi set up a stall and a photo booth for our school's 'Hari Kokurikulum'. We sold sugar cookies that made by our vice president's mother. Credits to her :D. We sold candies & chocolates in a bag! and ice lolli(s) or as we call it, Ais Krim Malaysia :)

The photo booth was specially set up for the students & teachers of our school. The main attraction was our own board of directors wore special costumes for the booth!

Our president, Aznieda was beautifully dressed in an egyptian costume.
Our vice president, Megat. Uniquely dressed in a Mexican costume.
Jian Min, the funding director was exceptionally in scotland's traditional costume!
and Kodie, our club service director was dressed as a red indian!
Not to mention, Aznida Jabar participated to dressed along too. She was wonderfully dressed as a spanish lady :)

Thank you to all those who supported us and to everyone who helped out to make it a success!

Hope you guys had a great time as much as we did :)

As stated on the flyer, we are looking for singers, bands, dancers, you name it! Audition fee is RM10 per GROUP.. or .. RM5 per SOLO. If you'd like to come, it'll be on the 19th of June. Auditions WILL be in session by 12pm. For dance auditions, it'll be up till 2pm at the dance studio but for band auditions, it'll be up to 3pm. Please prepare at least 2 SONGS!

The theme this year will be CARIBBEAN! No, not the Capt. Jack Sparrow beardy pirate kind of Caribbean. We're focusing on a bunch of islands that surrounds the Caribbean sea. We'll give you the 411 on what the theme really is about soon! So in the meantime, think Bob Marley, Wyclef Jean, Shaggy, Rihanna, Sean Kingston and even Shakira! (for all you dancers out there;)) Other inspired reggae or ska -like tunes like Jason Mraz are welcomed too!

If you can't make it for auditions but you're still interested in putting on a show, call any of the numbers listed above & maybe we'll be able to work something out. Sounds good? (;

OH! And on another note, details of the groups or the solos who will be auditioning will only be asked for & taken down at the audition itself. We do apologize if this is short notice but we do hope to see you guys there! :D

They Were All In It To Win It!

To start this off, we're eternally grateful to everyone
who turned up to help out & to those who participated
as well at JUST FOR KICKS! It was a huge success and
a total of 24 teams took part. We really couldn't be happier
with the outcome & we thank you all so very much! :D
We managed to raise RM1700 and all that money will
be going to charity, so not only did you guys have
a good time but you guys did it for a good cause too.
If we did anything offensive or disappointed you in
any way, we do apologize. Last but not least, we hope
you guys had the time of yr lives. (;

Registration started off at 12pm and to our surprise,
the people just came flooding in. Registration went by
rather smoothly; By 12.45pm, timekeepers, referees & scorekeepers
were all sorted out amongst four groups, each containing 6 teams and
by 1pm, the games had begun.

Everyone played well, but seeing as we could only take two
teams from each group with the highest points from round 1
to proceed to finals. Everything came to an end at 5pm with

This morning, we started off the year with our
very first Board Meeting of 2010. All members
of the BOD of 09/10 huddled up on school grounds
to discuss, give their honest opinions & ideas for 2010,
and I must say, we've got some pretty high expectations
& goals to achieve but nothing is impossible, right? But
I'll get to that a little later. photos frm this morning (:

The main highlight of this post would have to be
about the annual AGM meeting of 2010 but just a gentle
reminder, this AGM meeting is only for the students of
SMK TTDI.

As for 2009, with a string of events ranging from

Firstly, we would sincerely like to apologize to the avid
readers of this blog for the lack of updates. As finals are on
its way, we have been busy getting ourselves prepared, thus
explains the lack of updates.

Secondly, we would like to wish all PMR & SPM candidates the
best of luck for their examinations & may all of you pass with
flying colours. (:

Thirdly, we would like to thank everyone who attended our
International Understanding Day 2009. Without you guys, it wouldn't
have been a success & we want to thank you again. (:

Fourthly, a few of the Board of Directors of 09/10 attended SMK La
Selle's "Dance Off; East Meets West Fusion" which was held
approximately three Saturdays ago at 12PM - 2PM and
we would also like to thank them for inviting
us because we certainly enjoyed ourselves during the event.

Fifthly, the BOD of 09/10 would like to wish goodluck,
say goodbye & thank you to the previous BOD of 08/09 for
having taught us how to be more responsible, guiding us and
providing support in everything we do. The club wouldn't be where
it is today if it weren't for you all & we thank you & we hope
everything goes well for all those who have stepped down from the
BOD of 08/09. (:

Lastly, congratulations to all the new elected Board of Directors
of 09/10 & as I speak on behalf of the board, we will try our very
best to not let you down in anything we do. So, do stay tuned folks
because we have many many things in store for you. (:

SMK Assunta's I.U Day

Date: 20th June 2009

Time : 10 am - 12 pm (IU DAY)

12 - 4 pm (Carnival)

Venue : SMK Assunta's Gallery and field

Interactors Danesh, Lian and Karen attended this event.

We arrived late, just in time for the video presentation, after the speeches.

The theme, as you can guess, revolves around the lifestyles of Africans.

They had a step dance performance; 'Rhythm of Africa'.

Then, a performance by the Assunta Military Band which is quite cool :D

They had another dance performance, a fashion show, and the grand finale with Interactors singing 'Circle of Life'.

It was 12 pm by the time the IU Day ended and we headed to the field for the carnival.

They had food stalls, stalls selling t-shirts and personalised badges, and various game booths.

The Assunta cheerleading team made a brief performance.

A little bit later on, there was a band performance as well.

Unfortunately, we couldn't stay long.

But, to say the least, the I.U Day was very interesting and fruitful.

And the carnival was a whole lot of fun.

Date: 30th May '09

Time: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Venue : SMK Tinggi Klang

The president, Danesh and a few interactors attended the event on the day stated above.

The theme : Reincarnation of Ancient Egypt.

The event started off with speeches and the national anthem, followed by role call.

The performances were good as they evolved around anything Egyptian.

There were games where representatives from each school were required to participate.

It was good entertainment :)

We had refreshments and resumed back into the hall.

There were more performances.

The fashion show featuring all the board members of the club was especially memorable.

And, to name a few; break dancing, a male duet performance singing "I'm Yours" and an unknown Malay love song (they were really good), and Chinese yoyo.

Personally, the latter was the first performance I've ever watched in events like these.

Catholic High School's Interact Carnival !

Only 2 interactors, Interactor Ashley (me) and Interactor Nik Hannani attended this event.

There were interesting game booths that were set up. If you earn enough stamps, you could get yourself some interesting prizes from the prize booth. Various kinds of food and beverages were sold but it mainly consist of the Malaysian delicacies such as satay, nasi lemak, mamak mi goreng, ais kacang and many others. During the event, a beatbox performance was also shown.

SMK Seri Bintang Utara's International Understanding Day

Six interactors from SMK TTDI attended this event which happened on the 18th of April 2009. Their IU Day started at 1 p.m. but we arrived an hour later.
Their theme was Back To The 50's!
There were interesting sketches on our arrival.
We were brought to a display of many interesting things which people used to use, dress and all sorts!
Interactor Kimberly from SMKSBU toured us and explained about the whole display of items.
There were posters, sculptures of a car, a big bottle of Coke and others.
There were even people dressed in costumes mimicking Elvis Presley, Audrey Hepburn and Charlie Chaplin.
Some of our interactors even got a chance to have a picture taken with them.
An attention-grabbing dance performance of the 50's were also performed.
An interesting display of clothes showcasing the 1950's were shown by the interactors of SMK SBU during the fashion show performance.

It was overall a very interesting day :)

Venue : Klang High School

Price : RM10 (registration fee)**

Wear : Sports attire

OPEN TO ALL INTERACT MEMBERS.

**Transportation fee yet to be decided.

And by the way, if you think you're not capable of running 6 kilometers, it's no crime to walk or jog instead.

Wesley Methodist I.U Day 2009

We were all required to gather in school before 2.30 p.m. just in time to get on the bus to head to the Wesley Methodist School.

Their I.U Day started around 3.30 p.m.

And their theme was Mexico!

There were speeches by the principal, the representative of the Embassy of Mexico, and the I.U Director.

Not to mention a special sketch and salsa dance performance.

We were introduced to all things Mexican and that made us understand Mexican culture even more.

Bring on the pinatas, maracas, sombreros, tacos and nachos!

We were given a 10 minute break to answer questions at booths in order to collect as many points as possible to get a chance at the pinata.

There was a slideshow at the end of the event on Mexican history.

And then the event ended.

Just before we left though, we got to enjoy the refreshments served.

All in all, it was a fruitful experience.

*Unfortunately, we didn't get to take many photographs of the event so that is why there are only a few posted up.

MPO Trip

[ Wednesday - 4th March, 2009 ]

Our dearest teacher advisor, Pn. Hazlin, decided to take us to watch the special performances by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.

The performances revolved around traditional music and the olden days.

I'll just let the photographs tell the story.

In-School Bonding/ Welcoming of New Interactors

[ 17th January, Saturday ]

By around 8 a.m., every Interactor who were present registered and were seated.

We had an opening ceremony with speeches by the respected teachers and a very important guest.

And by around 9 a.m., Interactors were changed to sports attire and were divided into groups.

The activities began.

We had a break as the games made all of us thirsty and ravenous.

After all activities ended, we ended with a reflection on the purpose of the event.

It was yet another fun-filled event with a purpose, and that is to tighten the bond between the Interactors.

Valentine's Day Fundraiser

Held on the 13th of February [Friday], as the actual Valentine's day was a weekend.

We sold rojak, cupcakes, chocolate cakes, brownies and roses during recess for Form 2 - 5.

You could say that it was fruitful as the cakes were fast-selling and soon everything was sold out before recess ended.

Kudos to fellow Interactors who helped with the stall! :)

Hopefully, future fundraisers would be as successful as this one.

AGM Meeting 2009

Hello, WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL BLOG OF SMKTTDI'S INTERACT CLUB.

The annual AGM meeting 2009 was held on the 13th of January (Tuesday) in 2 Rhazes.
This year, hand outs were given to all, regarding the club and what we do.

All of the board members introduced themselves the members were informed about the club's agenda for 2009.

AJKs for each form were elected, as well.

All in all, it was a good meeting.
